You will learn traditional and contemporary cotton techniques using hot wax and reactive dyes.
You will start each class applying wax with stamps, brushes and the traditional Indonesian instrument, the canting. Once this stage is finished, you will perform dyeing, by dipping, of the fabrics, and, finally, the dewaxing process.
During the three months you will execute, in total, 8 to 10 colorful batiks.
The class lasts 3 hours per session. in total it is 36 hours.
The day and time are to be agreed.
It includes all the materials, coffee and goodies to nibble on while you work.
